01 /

Control a machine with limited initial data

The supplied project used a four-pole, 2 kW DFIG without detailed electromagnetic information. The control problem included a bidirectional grid interface and rotor-current magnitude and frequency regulation across power and speed conditions.

02 /

Identify the plant and model the drive

Locked-rotor and no-load tests were performed to identify machine parameters. A MATLAB/Simulink drive-system model was then used to investigate d–q control and grid-connected generation.

03 /

Implement control in dSPACE

The source reports deploying the algorithm to a dSPACE prototype controller, using d-axis rotor current for flux excitation and q-axis current for torque. The implementation also included MPPT and a real-time virtual wind-turbine model.

A reported prototype demonstration

The supplied description and video present the project’s control approach. They do not provide a verified grid-compliance assessment, quantified conversion efficiency or a complete operating-range dataset.
